It dawned on me so suddenly... . While walking on an isolated stretch of beach in Polhena, Sri Lanka back in '05 - there were no ruffles in the sand; nothing askew. All I saw before me was a vast empty continuous surface. It went on drabbingly, without a single contour to its design. No reference point. Just immeasurable sand. Similarly, I, too seemed to slip away into the dismal expanse. Routinely meandering; no notable story to tell. That was the awakening; it was the moment to be still. A picture of that beach remains on my wallpaper.
